A Life on the Water
Some of the best summer days in northern Michigan have begun with an early morning ride in a fishing boat to drop in a line and enjoy a little quiet breeze off of one of our inland lakes.
Many a childhood afternoon is spent flying behind a speed boat strapped to a pair of waterskis or bopping around in a tube, the sound of laughter following behind.
In the late afternoons and early evenings, you may stumble across a gathering of pontoon boats in any of our inland lakes. Old friends and new friends find themselves gathering for good stories, some good laughs and a little sandbar swimming.
Our inland lakes afford the best boating around. If you’re feeling adventurous, you may even want to take the Inland Waterway from Crooked Lake all of the way through to Cheboygan.
If you don’t travel with your own watercraft, check out one of these businesses that will be happy to provide one for you.
