Downtown Wonder Weekend

Stafford Smith gives "Wonder how the Perry came to Be?" lecture at Stafford’s Perry Hotel - 2008

March 7th and 8th, 2009
Wonder Weekend Returns!  Wonder What’s Going on in Downtown Petoskey? Wonder what you could actually learn by shopping downtown? Wonder what surprises can be found inside of the unique and quaint shops we love so much? Well, wonder no more! Downtown Petoskey Wonder Weekend is the first weekend in March, March 7th and 8th, 2009.  Come Downtown and be amazed at all of the wonderful things going on.

The Downtown Events Committee is very excited about the return of Wonder Weekend and eager to showcase some of the many fine businesses that can be found Downtown. Kathy Bardins, Downtown Events Coordinator, explains, “It seems that Downtown is busy and full of shoppers during the summer months and for several weeks during the winter season, and there is no doubt that the tourists and resort community realize what a great place Downtown is, but we needed a way to remind the local community how great a resource they have right outside their doors. Wonder Weekend seems like a perfect way to get the message out that Downtown offers wonderful opportunities and possibilities for everyone all year long.”

The concept of Wonder Weekend is a full two days of “classes” at local businesses. The schedule will include a variety of “subjects” that will appeal to all ages and interests. If you have cabin fever or guests from out of town, consider the Perry Hotel’s special Wonder Weekend Package at www.staffords.com.  Don’t let the weekend go by and wonder later why you let yourself miss it!
