Free Piano Concert & Conversation with YoungMin You

The versatile composer and pianist YoungMin You will perform at Voorhies Hall on Tuesday, July 25th at 7:30 pm. This lively evening of piano music and conversation is free of charge and the public is invited.
YoungMin You studied music composition at the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music. He has proven to be a versatile musician through his compositions and piano playing. From a solo piano to a symphony orchestra, YoungMin embraces all genres of music in his writing and playing. He performs with his wife, the soprano Chantelle You as “Music Through You.” In addition to live performances, MusicThroughYou is popular on the web with one of their videos going viral and hitting ten million views.
Chantelle You trained as a classical soprano with Dr. Gerard Sundberg and Dr. Carolyn Hart, while also studying jazz voice with renown Chicago Jazz artist Bradley Williams.
MusicThroughYou embraces many forms of music, making each piece their own, and brings it to audiences around the globe. From mainstream pop covers to their original compositions, their music proves their versatile musicianship.
From contemporary tunes to complex classical pieces, the duo strives to understand and appreciate all kinds of music. Their desire is to share their music with the people they love, whether that be professional or just for pure entertainment.
YoungMin You spent his childhood in his home country of South Korea before attending Harbor Light School in Harbor Springs as a teen. He and Chantelle make their home in Northern Michigan. This musical evening is sponsored by the Campus Club of Bay View. Admission is free and open to the public.
