Crooked Tree Arts Center will begin its fall culinary series on October 4 and classes will continue through November 9 with an array of classes mostly centered on the theme in the new exhibition in the Edith Gilbert Gallery, Let Them Eat Cake! On October 4, Julie Adams of Julienne Tomatoes will present tips and recipes on various cakes and on October 11 from, Sweet Marie’s Confections will continue the dessert theme with a host of confections. As a change of pace on October 18: Carol Costello Catering will create a series of hearty hors d’oeuvres, and on October 25 Suzie’s Pies will be baking delicious fall pies. On November 1, Lulu’s Bistro will be an inspired entrée. All of these classes will be offered on Tuesdays from 6-8 pm. To finish the fall culinary series, on November 8th and 9th, Mo Rave from the Terrace Inn will present a two day workshop on creating your own gingerbread house from 10 am-4pm were each individual or couple will create a gingerbread house to take home for the holidays.
"The culinary series at CTAC has become a great way for people who enjoy cooking or those who just want to learn to spend a fun evening together, to meet people and gathering tips from local chefs," explains Gail DeMeyere, Visual Arts/Education Director at CTAC. "The series has become very popular with many repeat customers."
