Kids 10 and under are invited to participate in an Easter Egg Hunt at the Mirror Pond inside Young State Park in Boyne City. There is no cost to participate.
Easter Egg Hunt Info
Thousands of children and parents are expected to attend the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Emmet County Fairgrounds, sponsored by the YMCA of Northern Michigan and Emmet County Parks and Recreation, on Saturday, April 23, 11:00 to 2:00.
One of the YMCA's signature events, the Easter Egg Hunt involves games, age-appropriate crafts, egg decorating, and face-painting. Children may have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny, and everyone will go home with candy, prizes, and crafts. Typically the event draws over 3,000 people.
"It's a great day for the whole community," says Jen Crockett, program director for the YMCA.
The cost is $5 per child, and is free for accompanying adults. Snacks and lunch concessions will be available.
The YMCA is the nation's leading nonprofit for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Y is for all ages and incomes, and no one is ever turned away because of need. For more information, please call the Y at (231) 348-8393.
