The Petoskey Film Theater is sponsoring a brand new weekly, summer film series made to be both family and budget friendly. Every Friday the Friday Family Fun Films at the Carnegie will show movies for the whole family, starting this Friday, May 27, 7:30 pm with the animated film "How to Train Your Dragon". Donations are appreciated (suggested donation $2.50 per person). Movies will be shown rain or shine! Families are encouraged to bring blankets, sleeping bags, bean bag chairs and pillows if they want to camp out in front of the big screen. No bug repellent or umbrellas will be necessary! Chairs with cushions will also be provided for those who wish. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Have a fun night out with the whole family, catch a movie, and still get the kids home by 9:30! The Carnegie Building is the former Petoskey Library building, located on Mitchell Street, next to the Crooked Tree Arts Center. Parking is available on street and in the lot behind the building.
"How to Train Your Dragon" is a delightful mixture of adventure, slapstick comedy, and friendship. A winner with audiences and critics alike, this DreamWorks film rolls fire-breathing action, epic adventure and laughs into a captivating and original story. Hiccup is a young Viking who defies tradition when he befriends one of his deadliest foes - a ferocious dragon he calls Toothless. Together, the unlikely heroes must fight against all odds to save both worlds in this wonderful good-time hit!
