The Petoskey Film Theater will be showing the French film "The Concert". The Golden Globe-nominated for Best Foreign Language Film, is an uplifting comedy which follows fallen Russian maestro Andrei Filipov, who seizes a chance to reunite his orchestra and reclaim his life 30 years after polotics cut short his music career. After intercepting an invitation sent to the Bolshoi to perform at a Paris theater, Filipov gathers a ragtag band of ex-colleagues and a young beautiful French violinist to realize his dream. Andrei masterminds a plan to gather his own Bolshoi to go in their place in order to make a triumphant return to the music scene. With a motley bunch of former musicians at his side, Andrei sets off for Paris to fulfill his destiny and return to his glory as a great conductor.

Like many dog owners, award-winning metal sculptor, Dale Rogers, brings his 4-legged friends to Zorn Park in Harbor Springs to play...he won't need a leash for these canines and won't have to worry about picking up after them considering they are made of metal, stand 8-feet-tall and are 10-feet-long. There will be 20, 500 pound dog sculptures which will be on display from July 27 to August 8.
