Every Satruday and Sunday through October 31st, enjoy a fun filled hayride around the farms fields, pastures, vineyard, forests and ponds. Includes a stop at teh Trout Pond to feed the fish! $4 per person. Kids 2 and under are free.

Summer Sunset Vespers Concerts

A staple since the 1800s when families used to gather at the end of the day to sing hymns, this ongoing tradition has evolved into a magnificently eclectic concert series with something for everyone. Attendees will find an exciting blend of returning faculty and talented newcomers, all seamlessly woven together for an enriching evening of vocal and instrumental music for the whole family.

Each performance is held at 8 pm in Hall Auditorium.

OPENING NIGHT


Opening night of this series combines virtuosic playing and singing, a joyful reunion of old friends, and a chance to experience one of the most unique forms of entertainment in the country.
JUNE 17

HOW GREAT THOU ART


Celebrating the sacred traditions of Judeo-Christian faiths, tonight’s concert repertoire comes from the pages of Bay View history and honors the early days of the vespers series. Come enjoy an evening of music that calms the mind and energizes the spirit.

HEROES


Both the myths that we pass down and the visionaries that lead society to better days are honored as tonight’s repertoire includes music from The Man of La Mancha to the Tony-award winning musical The Lion King and will uplift people of all ages.
JULY 1

FROM BACH TO ROCK


In the time of J.S. Bach, musical borrowing was viewed as the highest form of flattery. This concert experience features a rollicking evening of both originals and their modern arrangements, both of which have delighted their listeners, with songs from Barry Manilow to Perry Como, and Funny Valentine to Fascinatin’ Rhythm.

Come experience a professional orchestra, the winners of the annual aria/concerto competition, and your favorite orchestral hits including the overture to The Barber of Seville and the very best in orchestral pops programming.

BROADWAY THEN & NOW


Timeless hits from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, recent revivals of How to Succeed in Business with Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific, and a world-class, faculty artist medley from Bernstein’s Wonderful Town will bring down the house.

EPIC MOVIE THEMES


Don’t miss music from The Sting, Amadeus, The Godfather, James Bond, My Fair Lady and The Star Wars Trilogy, to name a few. This program will have you humming along and tapping your toes and reminiscing on some of the greatest movie themes, featuring Mozart, John Williams, and more.

BACK TO THE BEATLES


One of the most groundbreaking bands in history, the Fab Four has been covered by respected musicians since 1964, giving Lennon and McCartney’s lyrics, melodies, and harmonies new life that pays tribute to the originals in exciting ways. From a heartfelt version of Let It Be to a humorous operatic parody, grab your ticket to ride. 7:45 PM SING ALONG

FINAL VESPERS


Come bid farewell to the 50 college students and 30 faculty members that have brought world-class talent to the region all summer long in a concert experience that pulls together tradition, innovation, moments both sentimental and funny, and sweet and saucy.

Antiques at the Fairgrounds
July 7th - 8th, 2012

Location: Emmet County Fairgrounds
This popular show, at the Emmet County Fairgrounds, will feature dealers from around the country. There will be a huge array of high quality antique merchandise from the smallest collectibles (jewelry), to a wide range of antique furniture, pottery, china, textiles, prints and more. If you can't make this show, come see us on August 4 & 5 - same place! Admission is $5.00 per person (good for both days), children under 15 admitted free.  Parking is FREE! Show times are 9:00am - 5:00pm on Saturday and 10:00am to 4:00pm on Sunday.
National Cherry Festival

6th Annual Bay Harbor Bow Wow
July 8th, 2012

Location: Village at Bay Harbor

The 6th Annual Bay Harbor Bow Wow is a very fun event for your pup which includes all breeds and sizes. Join us for the doggie parade where we can find out all about your sweet canine, followed by awards and prizes for best in weight class, best dressed, best owner/dog look alike, best trick and best lake jump!

A $15 donation is required to register your dog for the event.  It will be a $20 registration fee the day of the event. Doggie Goodie Bags will be given out at the event to the first 50 people who register!
