Kristine Seelye Performs

Fusing pop-rock with a healthy dose of singer-songwriter introspection, Kristine Seelye “is a charismatic, knock-out of a performer; definitely someone to put on your “must see” list this coming year.” With the ability to translate passion through the warmth of her voice and her touch on the piano keys, Kristine delivers emotionally arresting performances with songs that move and inspire.

With two Top 10 FMQB National Radio Airplay singles, songwriting honors from Nashville’s Embassy Music, a Michigan Merit Award for an original music video, and consistently enthusiastic and positive reviews, Kristine is leaving her mark on the music world.

Her CD “Waiting To Be Found” is a simple yet poignant collection of songs that explore the need in all of us to embrace our dreams and truly live them. Produced by John Beland, celebrated guitarist for such music legends as Kris Kristopherson, Ricky Nelson, Dolly Parton, and Linda Ronstadt, the CD features melodic, piano-driven pop rock, with rich, warm vocals, John’s signature guitars, and lyrics wrapped in effortless songwriting. From the decisive declaration “I Still Believe,” to the hopeful yet resolute “Waiting To Be Found” and the haunting “I’ll Be There,” Kristine has the ability to transform words into moving moments.

Often compared to Sarah McLachlan, Carly Simon, Sheryl Crow or Jimmy Webb, Kristine’s music resonates with timeless appeal. Her touch on the piano exudes a distinctive effortlessness while still conveying strength and intensity; and with a voice that is classic yet fresh; powerful yet delicate; soothing yet urgent, Kristine is not just another performer, she “will make you remember how powerful music can be.”

After trying to suppress the desire for music in exchange for a “safe” career, Kristine realized that being true to your passions is a key to understanding yourself. By accepting the daily trials and successes that come with taking risks in life, learning from them, and moving to a place of greater understanding, Kristine’s music encourages others to never take themselves or their dreams for granted.

John Beland recently noted: “This is an artist I truly believe will be with us for many years to come. Be sure to get in on the ground floor of what is destined to be an amazing career. After one listen you'll realize this is real talent.”

Harmony & Grits performs

Accomplished solo artists Rick Meisterheim and Kelly Shively have put their talents
together pleasing audiences with their amazing variety, great harmony and delightful
humor. Kelly's fiddle, clawhammer banjo, Celtic harp and ringing soprano voice,
blended with Rick's full-sound finger picking style guitar, banjo, mandolin, bouzouki,
mountain dulcimer and strong baritone voice have been summed up by the word, "rich".

Their rich blend of roots music styles would include: mountain, folk, bluegrass, Celtic,
country, and old-time, bringing an enjoyable variety to every set. They share
themselves through a well-fitted repertoire of their originals, as well as other fine
artists' materials played with their own unique flavor.

As solo artists, they have performed at various venues including festivals, concerts,
coffee houses, dinner lodges, rallies, schools and camps around the country. This
newly formed duet can be heard regularly in northern Michigan.
