The Celebrated War of 1812 Tall Ship LYNX - "America's Privateer" will be visiting Bay Harbor. The 122-foot square top sail schooner Lynx will sail into the Bay Harbor waterfront on Thursday, August 19 at noon. The 114 ton Lynx is an interpreation of a privateer or naval schooner from the War of 1812. She is fitted with period ordnance and flies pennants and flags from the 1812 era making her one of the first ships to defend our freedom.
The Privateer Lynx will be offering Educational Public Ship Tours and Educations Sailing Adventures beginning on August 25th. Climb aboard and step back in time as you relive history and feel the adventure. Join the crew and hoist the sails, steer the ship, fire the main battery of six-pounder carronades and experience first hand life aboard a traditional, square tipsail schooner. Get ready to rumble as you and your kids take part in this unique, interactive sailing adventure.

Bay Harbor will be hosting Bay Harbor Bow Wow....Registration and the social hour begin at 10 am with the dog parade begining at 11 am. Awards will be given for Best in Weight Class, Best Trick, Best Dressed, Best Dog/Owner Look-a-Like, Best Lake Jump.
Registration prior to August 14 is $12 and after August 14 is $15.

An all Gershwin Revue, "Who Could Ask for Anything More" featuring The Spectrum Brass. What a wonderful way to close the Bay View musical season by enjoying the beautiful music of George Gershwin, played by some of Bay View's own artistic faculty.
The show will feature some music such as Strike Up the Band, music from Porgy and Bess, An American Song Suite, Rhaposdy in Blue, Fascinating Rhythm and I Got Rhythm.
The concert is designed to raise money and awareness of The First Tee of Boyne Highlands, which is a local non-profit that teaches young people life skills and character education through the game of golf.
