YMCA of Northern Michigan's 3-on-3 youth basketball tournament, sponsored by Meijer, will be held on Saturday, April 30, at the Petoskey High School. This one-day event is open to all girls and boys in 3rd through 12th grade.

This annual tourney draws contestants from all over northern Michigan, from Cadillac to Traverse City and Alpena.

"We're excited to be part of this northern Michigan tradition," says Kathy Keilor, store manager for the Petoskey Meijer. "We wish all the athletes the very best."

Teams consist of 3 or 4 players, with divisions being determined by grade. Registration forms and $20 per player must be submitted to the YMCA by April 22.

All players will receive a tournament t-shirt, and teams placing first or second in their divisions will receive awards. Proceeds from the event will go toward funding the YMCA Y-Center, a fun and active youth center for students in grades 4th through 12th.
