Amber Neils from the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Pesticide and Plant Pest Management Division will join LTC to provide a learning opportunity aimed to educate and enlist the help of you and other concerned citizens in the Petoskey area. You will learn how to find invasive forest pests such as Asian Longhorned Beetle, Spotted Lanternfly and Hemlock Wooly Adelgid, in hopes to prevent their local establishment and subsequent decimation of our forests. Amber will describe these pests of concern, how to identify them and proper reporting mechanisms as well as answer any questions regarding these or other pests of concern. Pre-registration is required by calling 231-347-0991 or online at www.landtrust.org.
